The New Hilstead Map

"Of all the maps discovered in the ruins of New Hilstead, I find this one to be the most intriguing.  While the map itself is commonplace and the markings are minimal, the vast scope tells a larger story.

"The map was obviously used after New Hilstead fell to the zombie creatures, due to the area of infection proclaimed.  Furthermore, the user must have been a resident of New Hilstead or of surrounding areas, due to the statement 'Pacific (Dead End)' (for why would one state such a fact if one was from that direction?).  Yet, it also stands to reason that the user was able to explore such an area (or at the very least, explore enough to gain knowledge of the area) and return back to New Hilstead.  Considering the resources it would take to travel such a distance and the timing of this map's discovery (less than two months after The Fall), the extent of discovery is baffling."
