It has been three weeks since you and Abbey were rescued from the zombie infested ruins of New Hilstead by Will Holcomb and his band of survivors.
"Everybody, out of the car!" you shout, "Now!"
Forty-six automobiles ranging from motorcycles to semi-trucks speed down a cleared out portion of I-73 on the west side of New Hilstead. Every week the camp migrates to a new location. Survivors numbering in the hundreds pile into transport vehicles and travel to one of many scouted destination points near the city.
Normally the migration is uneventful. Sometimes things go to hell.
The green sedan you have been driving has plunged into three zombies. Their mangled bodies jam up the tires. The car is stuck. In front of the stalled automobile is a wall of zombies, which is never a good sign.
Abbey is taken out of the car by Owen and Beru, her acting foster parents. You jump out of the driver’s seat and follow them across six lanes of I-73 towards a backup vehicle.
The mass of undead is closing in. |
